This page is maintained by the Home Readiness team to answer common security and privacy questions about the app. It describes controls and practices that are in place today and is editable content, not an independent certification.
Users retain rights to their personal information, assessment answers, uploaded photos, and reports. Home Readiness controls and operates the app, service, software, scoring framework, educational content, report templates, and business operations.
By using the app, users give Home Readiness permission to store, process, analyze, display, and generate reports from the information they provide for the purpose of operating the service, maintaining accounts, generating reports, improving reliability, preventing abuse, providing support, improving app quality, and complying with legal obligations.
Lovable, Supabase, and related infrastructure providers host and process data for the app. They do not own user-submitted assessment data.
We do not sell identifiable user data, email addresses, uploaded photos, individual assessment answers, individual reports, or account information.
We may use de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal assessment information to understand common home safety concerns, improve the Home Readiness service, develop educational content, create benchmark reports, support business planning, produce general home-safety insights, and commercialize non-personal insights.
Any sharing, publishing, licensing, sale, or commercialization of data is limited to non-personal data that does not reasonably identify an individual user, household, account, uploaded photo, or report.
Non-personal data means information that does not reasonably identify an individual user, household, account, uploaded photo, or report. This includes de-identified and aggregated assessment answers, objective home-safety findings, trends, benchmarks, usage statistics, and other insights that cannot reasonably be linked back to a specific person or account.
Home Readiness may use, process, analyze, share, publish, license, sell, or otherwise commercialize non-personal data for any purpose, including reporting, research, business analytics, product development, marketing, and partnerships, only to the extent permitted by applicable law. This right applies only to non-personal data and does not allow the sale or disclosure of identifiable personal information, identifiable photos, individual reports, email addresses, or raw user-level records in a form that reasonably identifies a person, household, or account.
Over time, completed assessments may help identify broader home-safety patterns, such as common bathroom hazards, stair safety concerns, lighting issues, discharge-readiness barriers, or frequently recommended home modifications.
Home Readiness may use de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal data to create objective insights, benchmarks, trend reports, educational materials, research-like summaries, business analytics, marketing materials, partnership reports, or other general reports.
These insights will not include names, email addresses, exact addresses, identifiable photos, individual reports, raw user-level records, or information that reasonably identifies a person, household, or account.
Uploaded photos are used to support the user's assessment, photo review, AI-assisted safety review if selected, and report generation. Users should not upload photos containing people, faces, documents, medication labels, addresses, financial information, or other sensitive details.
We do not sell uploaded photos. We do not use identifiable photos for marketing, testimonials, case studies, public examples, or third-party sharing without separate permission.
Uploaded photos are not included in non-personal data unless they are transformed or processed in a way that does not reasonably identify an individual, household, account, uploaded photo, or report, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Users should avoid entering or uploading unnecessary sensitive information. Do not upload or enter names of patients, diagnoses, medication lists, medical records, insurance information, financial information, Social Security numbers, faces, documents, addresses, or other sensitive personal details unless clearly necessary for using the service.
We only require the minimum information needed for account access and app functionality. Email is used for account access, verification, security, and support. The app does not require name, phone number, date of birth, diagnosis, medication list, medical history, insurance information, or patient name to create an account.
Accounts are protected with email and password sign-in, or sign-in with Google. Each user can only access their own assessments, photos, and reports. Sharing with a caregiver, clinician, or family member is opt-in, per assessment, and can be revoked at any time.
Permissions are enforced server-side. Regular users cannot view other users' data. Clinician and admin capabilities are gated by role checks in the database and cannot be self-assigned from the app.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Uploaded photos are kept in a private storage bucket scoped to your account — other signed-in users cannot read, replace, or delete them.
Users may request access to, export of, or deletion of their account data as described in our Privacy Policy or by contacting support at the address shown in the app footer. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or legitimate business records.
Deletion of identifiable account data does not necessarily require deletion of non-personal, de-identified, or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual user, household, account, uploaded photo, or report, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Where applicable law provides additional rights — for example the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, or other state or national privacy laws — this page is intended to be read together with, and consistent with, our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The Privacy Policy governs in the event of any difference. Residents of those regions may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or limit the use of their personal information, and to opt out of certain disclosures. Contact us using the address in the app footer to exercise those rights.
