Terms of Service

Home Readiness is an educational home-safety and home-readiness tool. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not an emergency service, and not a substitute for evaluation by an occupational therapist, physical therapist, physician, nurse, contractor, or other qualified professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and photos you enter, and for deciding what to act on. Avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information such as patient names, diagnoses, medication lists, medical records, insurance or financial details, faces, documents, or addresses.

You need an account to use the assessment. Email/password accounts must verify their email address before creating or changing data. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Do not abuse the service: no spam, automated scraping, reverse engineering, security testing without permission, attempts to access other users' data, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or any use that disrupts the app or other users.

Only upload photos you have the right to upload. Do not upload photos of people, faces, documents, medication labels, or other sensitive material. You remain responsible for the content of your uploads.

You keep your rights to your personal information, assessment answers, uploaded photos, and reports. You give Home Readiness a limited license to store, process, analyze, display, and generate reports from that information for the purpose of operating and supporting the service. This license exists to run the app; it does not transfer ownership of your identifiable data to us, and it does not let us use identifiable data for whatever we like.

Home Readiness owns and operates the app, software, scoring framework, report templates, educational content, and business operations. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute those materials without permission.

Home Readiness may use, analyze, publish, license, sell, or otherwise commercialize de-identified, aggregated, and other non-personal insights derived from use of the service, only where the information does not reasonably identify an individual user, household, account, uploaded photo, or report, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not sell identifiable user data, email addresses, uploaded photos, individual assessment answers, individual reports, account information, or raw user-level records in identifiable form.

The service is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will prevent a fall, injury, or other outcome. Home modifications should be selected and installed based on the person's needs, home layout, local codes, manufacturer instructions, and professional guidance.

To the extent permitted by law, Home Readiness is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, or for decisions made based on educational content or generated reports. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limits may not apply to you.

We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service, break these terms, or create risk for other users. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always the one shown on this page.
